Now Go Build

AMAZON WEB SERVICES

Amazon Web Services is a massive, global company on par with Amazon itself. But in 2018, barely anyone had heard of it, much less seen the brand on film. When we met the AWS team, they had two challenges: to develop a travel show featuring their CTO Werner Voegels and to find their voice in the video space.

All is Well took the idea of a “travel tech” show and created a full show bible for AWS, including show structure, design approach, intro sequence, and wrote up potential future episodes to show how this creative approach could sustain itself in the future. Based on our creative development, we filmed a pilot in Jakarta about a blockchain-based app that links rice farmers to financial services (helping them avoid predatory loan sharks).

The pilot premiered at AWS’ Reinvent conference, immediately garnering over a million views on YouTube. It was so successful that AWS ordered another show based on one of our potential future episodes. Then they ordered a full season.

Three seasons, 14 episodes, 11 countries, and countless airline miles later, Now Go Build exists not only as a successful enterprise, but as a project that crystalized AWS’ voice in the video space. Since that first success, all of AWS’ video content now follows the original “pillars of storytelling” that Now Go Build was built on.

The full seasons are available to watch on YouTube and Amazon Prime.
